Memory 87: Bali Trip ( Day 4 )

Day 4
Today is the final day at Bali, Finally no more touring around the island!! Fun and leisure at your own pace. Thing is, we had to check out from the hotel at noon. So, that leaves us Roomless. And our flight is 10.30pm!! Yeah, total bummer!!
Well, didn't really matter. Got up and had an early breakfast!!! Past 2 days I only could admire the pool side. So today, ~Weeee~~ *Jumps Into the pool*
Hey Thats me, Swimming with no goggles on!!!Water pretty warm. Ahhh, Finally to have a relaxing swim!!
Hahahaha, Some Gaya Post!!!After Swimming, I Toke a nice bath, Enjoyed some TV programs!! Then headed out to some shops outside to do some last minute shopping!! Was pretty lazy to walk the shop lots, because almost everyday we shop for the same stuff, T-shirts, baskets, key-chains, wooden penis, weaved baskets. Kinda got bored and fooled around with my camera!!

So after that, Had lunch some where!! And then Shopping spree continued till the evening!!

So while doing all the shopping, I will explain the cultures of the balinese =D
- How the Country got its name Bali, Ancient time, 'Wali' means Ritual. This was the place where many rituals take place. It is now call Bali.
- According to their cultures, Building are not to be built taller than coconut trees. Still did not know why but it think its because to remain in harmony with the nature!!
- This is a rather Obvious facts that Family who are married would rather prefer boys over girls, for the boys will carry the name and family tree!!!
- In Year 2002, There was a bombing in a nearby Australian pub and more than 200 people died in that incident. After that incident, Security is taken very seriously, every 5 meters you could see a police man standing guard to maintain order.
- According to their culture, 1 house have 1 temple beside the house. Most of the balinese are hindu. They pray 3 times a day. There is about 12,000 temples in Bali!!
- In Bali, there are 620 Village, Each village has 3 Grand temple representing their 3 Gods, Shiva, Vishnu, and the last I forgotten XD
- Sometimes they had Contest like which village is the cleanest will be awarded money or other stuff. This is to encourage the villagers to keep the place clean.
- Holy Trees that have spirit within cannot be cut down without proper offering. If not, the spirit will give you Bad luck and haunt you for the rest of your life. Holy trees are very very large trees!!
- In Bali, They are no speed limits. So you could drive extremely fast or extremely slow does not matter and cars that wants to overtake must honk first before overtaking. ( In Malaysia, we use the honk as @#$%& )
- From what I learn, Muslim have to 'Sunat', But balinesse have to 'potong gigi'. After the children has reach the age of 21 years old, the father have to potong gigi, to show that the father has done his part on raising the child and the child can now go free and do what ever he likes. Actually its not really potong gigi, is rather like sand paper your teeth to make it shorter only XD
- In Bali, There is a festival called 'Silent Day'. On this day itself, Airport will be closed, Cannot Cook, Cannot use electricity, Have to stay indoor always, all the shop will be closed.
Okay, I think thats about enough culture!!! So, After 4 hours of walking non-stop from shops to shops. I dicided to take a rest at the beach near the hotel.

I was touching the sand!!!

that can look out at the beach!!
Really nice, I see kids enjoying themself,
I love to see them having fun!!!

So after dinner, Headed back to the hotel roomless, Sat down and wait for our transport to arrive to pick us up to the airport. Was really tired of all the aimless walking around!!

Boarded the airplane at 10.00pm, lift off at 10.30pm, reach Malaysia approximately 12.30pm. Take a cab home 3.00pm. There was one hell of a trip. I want to go back there again if I had a chance. You could get more photos if you come over, this is not all of the photos.
